Spills & cleaning
Blot spills promptly with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub or soak the rug. For a deeper clean, ask a professional textile cleaner to assess the fabric and embroidery.
Placement
Keep away from damp areas and prolonged direct sunlight. For floor use, a suitable non-slip rug pad helps keep it in place.

Our great-grandfather began working with Kashmir’s master craftsmen around 150 years ago, beginning a family relationship with Kashmiri craft that continues to this day.
Our Grand Father & his brothers
Peerzada Bashir-Ud-Din
Our grandfather, together with his brothers, carried the family’s work beyond Kashmir. They travelled across India, including Allahabad and Varanasi, introducing Kashmiri craftsmanship to customers far beyond the Valley and building relationships across the country.

Peerzada Naseer Ahmad
Our father and his brother worked alongside our grandfather from the ground up, helping shape every part of the business. They expanded manufacturing, built a strong wholesale presence in the local Kashmiri market, and established the family business as a trusted and respected name in Kashmir.
Fourth Generation

Today, the fourth generation carries the family’s work forward through KashmKari. Building on the relationships, craftsmanship and knowledge passed down through our family, we are taking Kashmiri craft directly to customers around the world while continuing to work with artisans here in Kashmir.
