100% pure Pashmina base fabric. Pashmina is the fine, soft underfleece of mountain goats, prized for its lightness, warmth and drape.
A laboratory certificate of authenticity is included with your shawl. Embroidery threads, where present, are separate from the Pashmina base.
Your shawl arrives with a laboratory certificate of authenticity, a complimentary hand-embroidered Kashmiri bag, a handwritten note and a hand-drawn calligraphy card.
For yourself, we include a handwritten thank-you and your name in calligraphy. For someone you love, select Personalise your gift to add their name and your message. Calligraphy is available in Arabic or English.

Ready before you order. Available shawls are dispatched the next day. Expected delivery is within 10–12 days of your order. Tracking is emailed when your parcel leaves us.

Clean with care. Professional cleaning is recommended. Do not machine wash or tumble dry. Follow the care label supplied with your shawl.

Wear thoughtfully. Take care around jewellery and rough surfaces that could catch the fine fibres or embroidery.

Pashmina begins with the fine, insulating undercoat of Changthangi goats from Ladakh’s high-altitude plateaus. Its softness, lightness and warmth make it one of the world’s most prized natural fibres.

Fine underfleece is collected from Changthangi goats in Ladakh.

- Clean & dehair. Dust and coarse guard hairs are removed, leaving the delicate Pashmina fibres.
- Spin the yarn. Our Pashmina includes both hand-spun and machine-spun yarn, depending on the shawl.
- Handwoven on the loom. The weaver guides the shuttle by hand, interlacing warp and weft to build the cloth.
- Colour & needlework. Colour may be added to the yarn or cloth. Selected shawls receive Sozni embroidery; both are optional.
- Wash & finish. The shawl is washed, dried and carefully finished.
- The finished shawl. Soft, light and beautifully fluid. A journey of skilled hands, brought together in one shawl.
Kashmiri hand embroidery
Sozni, embroidered by hand.
Sozni is the fine needle embroidery of Kashmir. Working entirely by hand, an artisan guides a needle through the woven Pashmina, building delicate flowers, leaves and paisleys one stitch at a time.
The detail comes from the fineness and placement of each stitch. Dense, closely worked designs take longer to embroider, with more time spent on every small motif.

Our great-grandfather began working with Kashmir’s master craftsmen around 150 years ago, beginning a family relationship with Kashmiri craft that continues to this day.

Peerzada Bashir-Ud-Din
Our grandfather, together with his brothers, carried the family’s work beyond Kashmir. They travelled across India, including Allahabad and Varanasi, introducing Kashmiri craftsmanship to customers far beyond the Valley and building relationships across the country.

Our father and his brother worked alongside our grandfather from the ground up, helping shape every part of the business. They expanded manufacturing, built a strong wholesale presence in the local Kashmiri market, and established the family business as a trusted and respected name in Kashmir.
