Our great-grandfather began working with Kashmir’s master craftsmen around 150 years ago, beginning a family relationship with Kashmiri craft that continues to this day.
Our Grand Father & his brothers
Peerzada Bashir-Ud-Din
Our grandfather, together with his brothers, carried the family’s work beyond Kashmir. They travelled across India, including Allahabad and Varanasi, introducing Kashmiri craftsmanship to customers far beyond the Valley and building relationships across the country.
Our Father & his brother
Peerzada Naseer Ahmad
Our father and his brother worked alongside our grandfather from the ground up, helping shape every part of the business. They expanded manufacturing, built a strong wholesale presence in the local Kashmiri market, and established the family business as a trusted and respected name in Kashmir.

Today, the fourth generation carries the family’s work forward through KashmKari. Building on the relationships, craftsmanship and knowledge passed down through our family, we are taking Kashmiri craft directly to customers around the world while continuing to work with artisans here in Kashmir.

Master Aari Artisan
Zahoor Ahmad has worked with Kashmiri embroidery for over 35 years. His experience with pattern, colour and detail shapes the machine-assisted Aari embroidery in our garments, with the fabric guided by hand as the design takes shape.
Master Tailor
Noor Mohammad has worked with our family for nearly 40 years. He cuts and stitches each embroidered piece to your selected size or measurements, with close attention to proportion, construction and fit.
From Order to Final Stitch
From your choice of fabric to the final fit, your abaya is crafted in Kashmir.

Your fabric, size and any custom requests are reviewed before work begins.
02 — Design Preparation
The embroidery design and placement are prepared on your chosen fabric before the Aari work begins.
03 — Aari Embroidery
The artisan guides the fabric by hand as the machine-assisted Aari embroidery builds the pattern.
04 — Cutting & Tailoring
The embroidered fabric is cut and stitched to your selected size or measurements, with attention to length and fit.
05 — Finishing
The lining, seams and finish are carefully completed before the final inspection.
06 — Quality Checked & Dispatched
We inspect the embroidery, stitching, measurements and finish before packing your abaya and dispatching it with tracking.
