Our great-grandfather began working with Kashmir’s master craftsmen around 150 years ago, beginning a family relationship with Kashmiri craft that continues to this day.

Peerzada Bashir-Ud-Din
Our grandfather, together with his brothers, carried the family’s work beyond Kashmir. They travelled across India, including Allahabad and Varanasi, introducing Kashmiri craftsmanship to customers far beyond the Valley and building relationships across the country.

Peerzada Naseer Ahmad
Our father and his brother worked alongside our grandfather from the ground up, helping shape every part of the business. They expanded manufacturing, built a strong wholesale presence in the local Kashmiri market, and established the family business as a trusted and respected name in Kashmir.

Today, the fourth generation carries the family’s work forward through KashmKari. Building on the relationships, craftsmanship and knowledge passed down through our family, we are taking Kashmiri craft directly to customers around the world while continuing to work with artisans here in Kashmir.

The Hands Behind Your Kaftan
Master Aari Artisan
Zahoor Ahmad has worked with Kashmiri embroidery for over 35 years. He guides machine-assisted Aari embroidery with an experienced eye for pattern, colour and detail, helping each design take shape stitch by stitch.
Master Tailor
Noor Mohammad has worked with our family for nearly 40 years. He cuts and stitches each embroidered piece to your selected size or measurements, with close attention to proportion, construction and fit.
From Order to Final Stitch
Each kaftan takes approximately 12–15 days to craft before dispatch.
01 — Order Confirmed
Your fabric, size, preferred length and any custom requests are reviewed before work begins.
02 — The Design Is Drawn
Our Naqash carefully draws the embroidery pattern onto the fabric, creating the guide for the Aari work that follows.
03 — Embroidered by Zahoor
Zahoor guides the machine-assisted Aari embroidery, bringing the drawn design to life through colour, pattern and detail.
04 — Tailored by Noor
The embroidered fabric is cut and stitched by Noor to your selected size or measurements, keeping the kaftan’s relaxed drape and proportions.
05 — Washed, Pressed & Finished
Your kaftan is carefully washed, pressed and prepared for its final inspection.
06 — Quality Checked & Dispatched
We inspect the embroidery, stitching, measurements and finish before packing your kaftan and dispatching it with tracking.
