An embroidered keepsake
A hand-embroidered Kashmiri bag, made to be kept.

Aari hand embroidery
Embroidered entirely by hand in Kashmir, with a small hooked needle forming each linked chain stitch.
A beautiful expression of nature-inspired artistry, this Fine Merino Wool shawl features a warm taupe brown base adorned with an enchanting arrangement of Aari hand embroidered flowers. Large blossoms in lavender, coral red, peach, and soft pink are surrounded by smaller floral accents and delicate leaves in shades of turquoise and green. The embroidery gracefully cascades along one side of the shawl, creating a striking floral composition against the understated earthy background.
Crafted from fine Merino wool, this scarf offers exceptional softness, gentle warmth, and a naturally elegant drape. The colorful floral embroidery beautifully showcases the skill of Kashmiri artisans, bringing traditional craftsmanship into a contemporary design. Perfect for adding warmth and artistic charm to both everyday outfits and special occasion ensembles, this shawl is a timeless celebration of handcrafted beauty.

WITH OUR COMPLIMENTS
Complimentary with every order, for you or someone you love.
The making of an Aari scarf
Follow the making of a hand Aari scarf, from carefully chosen fabric and a printed pattern to linked chain stitches and the final finishing touches.
Select any step to take a closer look.
Fabric is selected and prepared as the foundation for a softly draping scarf.
Thread colours are chosen to bring depth, contrast and character to the floral design.
The Naqash draws the floral motifs, arranging the pattern for the scarf’s long, narrow shape.
The motif is lightly transferred onto the fabric, creating a guide for the artisan’s Aari hook.
A small hooked Aari needle draws thread through the fabric, linking one chain stitch to the next by hand.
After embroidery, the scarf is carefully finished and pressed with attention to its fabric and raised threadwork.
The embroidery, loose threads and edges are inspected before the scarf is prepared for packing.
The finished scarf is presented in a hand-embroidered Kashmiri bag, ready for its next chapter.
