Zill-e-Neelam is a refined expression of the Arabic turma, brought to life through hand embroidery in cooler, jewel-toned hues.
Woven in pure cashmere with a soft ivory base, the shawl features a delicately embroidered border enclosing the piece, with paisley motifs placed thoughtfully at each corner. Shades of muted blue, antique gold, and soft rust are layered by hand, creating a balanced contrast that feels composed, elegant, and quietly distinctive.
The embroidery follows traditional Kashmiri techniques, giving the motifs depth and definition while preserving the natural lightness of the fabric. Its square form allows for versatile draping—over the shoulders, folded traditionally, or styled with modern restraint.

Our great-grandfather began working with Kashmir’s master craftsmen around 150 years ago, beginning a family relationship with Kashmiri craft that continues to this day.

Peerzada Bashir-Ud-Din
Our grandfather, together with his brothers, carried the family’s work beyond Kashmir. They travelled across India, including Allahabad and Varanasi, introducing Kashmiri craftsmanship to customers far beyond the Valley and building relationships across the country.

Peerzada Naseer Ahmad
Our father and his brother worked alongside our grandfather from the ground up, helping shape every part of the business. They expanded manufacturing, built a strong wholesale presence in the local Kashmiri market, and established the family business as a trusted and respected name in Kashmir.

Today, the fourth generation carries the family’s work forward through KashmKari. Building on the relationships, craftsmanship and knowledge passed down through our family, we are taking Kashmiri craft directly to customers around the world while continuing to work with artisans here in Kashmir.
